January 2015. Trade between Argentina and Vietnam throughout 2014 reached a record high of 1.92 billion dollars, which accounts for 20.6% interannual increase, according to initial estimates of the Argentine Customs.
Such estimates also show that Argentine exports to Vietnam during 2014 grew by 22.6% while imports from Vietnam shot up 5%.
Vietnam imported Argentine cattle feed, grains, leather, marine products and cotton while Argentine imports from Vietnam were mainly footwear, apparel and electronics.
Argentina regards Vietnam as one of the 15 most dynamic emerging economies and recently chose the Asian nation as a priority destination to promote their exports for the period 2014-2015.
