May 2016. The Argentine Embassy held the Argentine National Day celebration at Sheraton Hotel in Hanoi on the evening of May 25, on the occasion of the 206th anniversary of the May Revolution.

Among the guests that attended the event were the Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Quoc Dung, Vietnamese senior officials, members of the diplomatic corps, Argentine residents in Hanoi, Vietnamese public and friends of Argentina.

In his opening speech, the Argentine Ambassador Claudio Gutiérrez highlighted the achievements made and the challenges faced by Argentina in the wake of the upcoming bicentennial of the Argentine declaration of independence, which took place on Jule 9, 1816.

He also hailed the superb bilateral relations between Argentine and Vietnam at present.
Argentine wine, meat and even candies from the Argentine company ARCOR were served throughout the event. In addition, a tango dance couple from Argentina entertained the guests.
