July 2016. Several activities were held across the Argentine territory from 8 to 10.7.16 to mark the bicentennial of the Argentine independence declaration, which took place on 9.7.1816.

The celebration started on 8.7 in Tucumán, outside the historical “Tucumán House”, where independence was declared 200 years ago, and it continued on 9 and 10.7 in Buenos Aires and other cities, where military parades were the main highlight.

There were also celebrations held in other cities around the world, where local monuments and building were illuminated with the colours of the Argentine flag.
