March 2015. The 132nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) was held in Hanoi from March 28-April 1. Attending the event were over 160 international delegations composed of legislators from different IPU member parliaments.

Argentina was represented by congressman Ricardo Cuccovillo, in his capacity as chairman of the Argentina-Vietnam Friendship Group.

“Sustainable Development: Turning Words into Action” was the theme under discussion at this Assembly, during which parliamentarians reviewed the implementation status of the United Nations Millenium Development Goals.

Lawmakers also touched upon various issues relating to international security and human rights.
