August 2016. The Argentine Embassy in Vietnam took part at the fifth edition of Viet Pride from 17 to 21.8.16. Viet Pride is an annual event held by the Vietnamese LGTB community since 2012 which aims to celebrate their identity and love regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity.
On Wednesday 17 at Goethe Institute in Hanoi, the Argentine Embassy screened “Plan B”, an acclaimed Argentine film directed by Marco Berger which touches upon a LGTB love story.
Viet Pride also comprised a bike ride across the central area of Hanoi which drew hundreds of people.
By participating in Viet Pride, Argentina conveyed its support to the Vietnamese LGTB community in their fight for equality.
