December 2015. The Republican Proposal (PRO) party leader Mauricio Macri was sworn in as President of the Argentine Republic on December 10 at the historic Pink House, after delivering a speech to the National Congress.

Macri became elected as President in the second round of closely-fought presidential elections held on November 22, in which he defeated by 51.3% against 48.7% of the vote the candidate of the former ruling party Victory Front (FPV) Daniel Scioli.

Mauricio Macri is a businessman –engineer by profession– born in 19959 in Tandil (Buenos Aires province) who led Boca Juniors club from 1995 to 2008. He was elected as Mayor of Buenos Aires in 2007 for the first time, and reelected in 2011 for a second term.
