March 2014. On March 24, the sixth round of political consultations between Argentina and Vietnam was held in Hanoi. Senior officials from both countries made a thorough review of the most relevant features in the bilateral relation.

Deputy Foreign Minister, Eduardo Zuaín headed the delegation of Argentine officers who took part in the consultations, while Deputy Foreign Minister Ho Xuan Son led the Vietnamese delegation. Argentine Ambassador, Claudio Gutiérrez accompanied Deputy Minister Zuaín during the meeting.

The regular development of political consultations between senior officials from Argentina and Vietnam reflects how far bilateral relations have been intensified over the past years. In 2010, Argentine President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and her Vietnamese counterpart Truong Tan Sang hailed bilateral relations between both countries as “strategic”.
